| Kati Peak Bridesmaid |
My name is Kati Peak and I am one of Chelsea’s bridesmaids!
I graduated from James Madison University in May with a bachelors
of science in Interdisciplinary Liberal Studies, just a fancy way of saying
education. I am currently a graduate student at JMU working towards my masters
in teaching. I love children and cannot wait to be an elementary school
teacher!
Chelsea and I met one another at The Dance Studio in elementary
school. Starting in middle school, Chelsea and I were in every single dance
class together. We shared a passion for dance and spent many hours together
perfecting our craft. Ms. MaTassa, our dance teacher, regularly partnered
Chelsea and me together. It was inevitable that we would become friends.
Along with being dancing buddies, we also went to the same middle school, high school, and college. Chelsea is one of the reasons I chose to become a duke dog! I visited her at JMU a few times during my senior year of high school and fell in love with the school.
Chelsea has always been one of my closest friends. I love our
friendship. We do not have to talk to one another everyday to remain best buds.
Even after going a while without seeing one another, we are always able to pick
right back up were we left off.
I first found out about Philip during one of me and Chelsea reunions. She told me she had met him at church and I could tell by the
excitement in her voice that she was very happy. After meeting Philip, I knew
he was the one for Chelsea. Their personalities complement one another. I
cannot wait to watch this beautiful couple get married. Their relationship is
truly one to envy!
As a result of our many years of dancing together, there are many
songs that remind me of Chelsea. At the wedding I would love to hear Michael
Jackson’s “Smooth Criminal” and
Barry Manilow’s “Copacabana.”

"Copacobana"
